Handtops, UMPC - My last handtop device aka...umpc -

I decided my last handtop device is OQO model 02. I did used my model 01 for burning DVD, encode, playing power DVD, 3Dgames like NFS and some older 3D games. That tells me that the model 02 can do much more apps than 01 because of better processor that previous model. So i bought one. I will use my new 02 for so many years to come until they'll come up a specs found in alienware notebook gaming device in as small as model 02.

Ah yes, the proverbial and perennial I'll wait until handtops have as much power as today's laptops. Of course, today's handtops already have all the power of laptops of just a few years ago. When tomorrows handtops have the power of today's laptops, the laptops of tomorrow will have commensurately more power and someone will say exactly the same thing. You're trying to hit a moving target.

I said that before I even bought the OQO model 1+, and I am happy with the unit, but I still lust after the Model 2, dream about the FlipStart, and would buy the first machine that met my criterion, regardless of price and prior promises to myself. The problem is not with the machines, its with my expectation of the machines. I keep on wanting and waiting for that single "perfect" unit, but every time they bring it out, and I buy one, I find myself wanting more, more, more...
