I ordered mine on Wednesday and received it on Friday. It took one day to process the order. I paid 50 bucks for the next morning delivery. By the time I checked my email from Flipstart with the tracking # at work, the unit had already been delivered to my house. They shipping location is in Tennessee and I live in California. Hope this help.

I ordered mine on Friday the 6th and it was delivered to me on Monday the 9th. I too paid for the express delivery (afternoon). Didn't get the smaller battery though - received a back-order notice for that. Loving the unit so far. It's a little heavier than I'd hoped, but it's worth it for the battery life. I'm only getting about 1.25 hours on my Sony UX390, but I'm getting about 4 on my Flipstart.

The question about the credit card for me was a strange one. I did not have the credit card charged until AFTER I received the FlipStart. I was one of the few to get the slow shipping, so mine arrived a little later that some of the others. It seems to work fine. The Sprint start up took about 24 hours, but no problems there.
My first impressions is how small it really is. I have a number of small laptops (Toshiba Librettos, Casio Fiva, Fujitsu Lifebook, etc.) and this is smaller. I think because it is so small, the thickness really stands out. I ordered the slim line battery, and I think that it will help. It does seem pudgy with the extended life battery. My use of it is only for short periods (half an hour to an hour a day), so I don't need 5-6 hours of battery life. The first day with it I used it for over 4 hours (set up, getting the EDVO working, etc.), so it does last a good while, but I don't know if you can actually get 6 hours. Five is probably the far limit.

My Flipstart is finally here. I will plug it in tonight and start working on it tomorrow. I do not know how to get the Sprint service started without faxing in a form. Maybe just go to a Sprint store instead of calling the Flipstart number?

I just started to configure and iniialize the machine. Does anyone else notice the whine when the keyboard backlight is on? Small text and key placement will take time to get use to.

I finally got my Sprint service started. i have not had much time to compare service with VW, but I just ran a speed test. For VZ, the upload and download speeds were 886 and 130 kbs. For Sprint the were 1289 and 497. Bear in mind that I was using Rev 0 for VW and Rev A for Sprint.

I cannot get the FS control center to remember my settings between reboots. How do I fix this?

Mine has the same whine typical of EL displays. I have tried to turn it off, but the some FS software keeps turning it back on after reboots or coming out of standby. Anyone know how to personize the settings and have dthye stick?
