Hey gang.
Dropping by to let the old timers know that I'm using an iPhone more than my OQO 01+ these days and it's pretty sweet.
OQO could learn from Apple in customizing the Vista UI to behave like the iPhone.
Safari also is a huge step up from the mobile IE used in Windows Mobile and the browser used in the Treo.
I still believe that there's a market for UMPCs/handtops, but I see the value in the lighter OS and the amazing UI. For example, the iPhone's Safari browser auto zooms and detecting Web links when selecting using your finger just works on the very small screen of the iPhone.
I'm still in the UMPC camp that the crippled OS experience overall is lacking, but the iPhone has moved the ball further ahead for the lightweight, non-Intel CPU based system.
How's everyone these days?
