GreatDane
Have just bought a HUAWEI E220 USB HSDPA/GPRS to use with my OQO 1+ on a Vodacom network.
Upside:
Small, light, easy to install and use, USB powered, really fast in HSDPA mode, auto connects to GPRS when 3G network is not available.
Downside:
Cable connector can get in the way when holding the OQO, expensive, software needs 800 x 600 resolution to run.
Overall:
Can live with the downside, as the unit is just awesome in the field.

Thanks All for the input. These things are damn expensive! I think I will velcro it to the back of the Vega and run a really short usb cable to one of the connectors.
Supp0rtLinux are you planning on selling it since you don't need it anymore?

I'd be willing to sell it. I was going to keep it as a spare, but since I have a Kyocera EVDO router (the KR1) and KPC650 card, I don't need the USB GPRS device any longer. If you're interested in buying it, PM me or drop a note to andrew_at_nccomp_dot_com.
