Hello! Flybooks seem to be great laptops and I'm really considering about buying such.

But does anyone here know if Flybooks support Linux? I have heard that they are shipping Flybooks with Lycoris pre-installed, but in Finland Flybooks are shipped without any OS, and I would like to use my favourite os, Gentoo Linux. So do you know if the drivers and etc. are available for all Linux distros?

As far as I know, it should work, but ive not tried it so i dont really know. as for drivers, im pretty sure the stock ones will work, but there arnt any made specificily for the flybook...

the pocket verson (the one that doesnt need to be installed, and boots from a cd) of mandrake works fine. I am having trouble getting the wifi to work tho....

Well, I ordered Flybook with WiFi, Bluetooth and GRPS. It takes few weeks to arrive..

can anyone help me talk to Verkkoauppa?
I have no use for GRPS so getting the lower model would be cheaper for me.
I don't speak finnish so I dont know how to order or how much shipping would cost to the US or how I might pay.

Well, I'm not sure, but it seems that they're not shipping their products outside Finland

Actually I got confirmation that they will ship to Sweden, and this probably means that they will ship anywhere within the E.U.

@bapelsin if you speak finnish, could you tell me where on the site or better yet what the contact email address for customer service is? I tried emailing them using the online email form, but I couldn't tell if I was emailing customer service or the russian mafia's online portal.

@ dijenerate.... Russian mafia online portal.... Haha!..... I got something like that a while ago. A company that said it would sell me a P910 (phone) for US$200. I nearly died until i emailed them and got an email back from some unpronouncable name that in the email said his name was "Bob Young" and i'm like... Hmm.... SCAM!... Sorry, its off topic i know. But i emailed ablecomp ages ago and they said they would have them late august, so i assume that you could pick one up from them by now atleast.
