This is a thread specifically for listing which cell phones allow data transfer to handhelds with little or no speed degredation. (Apparently some units lose a lot of speed when using Bluetooth.) The purpose is to provide an easy to locate spot for potential buyers to see which phones to look for and which to avoid.
I suggest the following convention:
Place "Fast" in the topic line of well-behaved phones that allow full speed data transfers
and "Slow" in the topic line of poorly-behave phones. That way, a search will immediately pick out the useful items.

Verizon now has the XV6700 (which Sprint has had as its top evdo phone for a while).
Does ANYBODY know if there is a camera phone out there that can be AUTOMATICALLY sent to send the pictures to a computer as they are being taken.
Like I know there are cameras that do this such as the really cool Nikon P1, Nikon P2, Canon is coming out with a wifi camera in feb...but I really don't need a 5 to 8mp camera, just a evdo phone with a 1.3mp camera would be nice, but it seems like every phone I have used has made sending pictures through the wifi a chore...okay, nevermind I just answered my question...duh, the nikon is made for wifi pics, and phones have cameras as an add-on, second thought, so my answer is no...phone cameras suck.

*educationk12*, my Sony Ericsson W800i phone (camera with 2 MP, auto focus, macro, flash, & memory card) cannot be set to automatically send pictures taken, but it's easy to manually email pictures as they are taken (definitely not a chore). Also, the K750i is almost identical (remove the iPod like music interface) and so is the W810i (add quad-band and EDGE support).

Educationk12, I don't understand why you're so excited about this kr1 kyocera router. It's so big. How do you plan on using it?

While we don't have any "hard" data yet to draw any firm conclusions, my gut tells me that, in order to avoid speed degradation, go in the opposite direction of the XV 6600, which uses the widcomm stack and uses only Bluetooth 1.0.
Therefore, my recommendation would be to Bluetooth DUN using cell phones using the Microsoft stack and Bluetooth 2.0
I know that that's what I'm planning on doing if I give this another whirl.
