How does an enterprise manage XP and WM5 in one device?
Since most companies stink at managing XP desktops and notebooks, how does a company patch, secure data, backup, force system configuration (antivirus, antispyware, personal firewall, hardened registry entries, etc.) and manage a cPC that has 2 operating systems within one device?
From the desktop perspective, I've seen excellent enterprise desktop management for Win2k and XP using products like Microsoft SMS, Novell Zenworks, and Altiris CMS, but I haven't seen a lot of companies actively managing PocketPCs or smartphones.
I've seen some companies use BlackBerry management software, but for the most part users self-manage Treo and PocketPC devices (smartphones and PDAs/PPCs).
