Can someone point me to the web address to get my dualcore by this week.
The CEO and others had promised that today is the day so I have my credit card ready to go. So many people have cried "vaporware" however I take the folks at dualcore at their word.
I am so excited. As soon as I find the website to order I am putting a rush on my order so that I can have it by 3/2/2006.

If I can't order by dualcor today or tommorrow as promised then this device will fall into the vaporware category, insofar as I am concerned.
Just like Flipstart, all talk and no action.
Just vaporware. It will never come out.

I have not changed my tune its just that I thought that if these guys can keep their word than I will give dualcore a try. However now that I know that their talk was just the same "raise money from investors" vaporware garbage I feel even better today about the OQO. OQO never lied about dates. OQO never used "firm" availibility date and then could not deliver.
I already forgave myself for having wasted brain cycles arguing with dualcore zealots a few weeks ago. What a waste of time that was.
I am so happy that I took the OQO train and thus left the station over one year ago.
Long live the OQO. Daulcore will never live and if it does it will go out of business shortly thereafter.

Who and where is the source that said Feb. 28th is the pre-order date? I remember someone saying that, but I think it was heresay. I would be surprised if it is released on the March 15th date or even March. Technology like this takes a long time to work out all the kinks. Just like the KR1 router was suppose to be out in November and came out just a couple of weeks ago. Same thing with the Flybook...the majority of tech releases are behind schedule because the unexpected always occurs...same thing usually happens with new model year for cars especially if it is different and this thing has to deal with dual booting in XP and Windows Mobile among other things. I would be surprised to see this come out in March, but I think I am still going to buy one just to play with it. Worse case scenerio is I don't like it and sell it for a couple hundred less than I paid.

No one, I'm pretty sure that his sarcasm laden post is intended to suggest that the only way they can actually ship by March 1st is if you take pre-orders prior to that date. I think you're reading too much into what was just intended as a goof, a joke.

There was a thread a while back when rcurrier was posting stuff about Feb. 28th, but as far as where that source is from I don't know. I don't think he intended sarcasm. I think you are reading too much into his post...haha, jk.

I was just joking.
I would not touch a dualcore with a 10 foot pool.

I was told the DualCor CPC would be available by mid April. However, I have my doubts. After seeing one of these things in action, I was definitely impressed, but I have to wonder how much is true and how much is talk. The thing that gets me about DualCor is their market strategy: they don't sell directly to consumers. Also, their $1500 price includes no warranty or support of any kind. If a regular consumer ever gets their hands on one, there’s no way they will have paid only $1500. I have an OQO and an OQO Model 01+ and while they aren't as fast as the CPC, at least I actually have one.

I read about a year ago that one thing that the Via processor did exceptionally well was to be able to zip and unzip files very quickly. It had some built in hardware in the processor that made it particularly good at this task. Other then that it was not all that much better then the Transmeta processor. I think that is why that large project file is used to show its speed capability. I would like to see how it handles the Windows media visualisations or multitasking... time will tell.

educationk12: "I kinda find this post hard to believe. Can you verify this information? Source?"
If you don't believe it, just wait and see. My information has nothing to do with their website, nor can I disclose where I received it, but it is quite accurate. A lot of people are going to be very upset when the product is finally released. It's getting consumer press, but no consumer will actually be able to buy one for a long time, if at all.
