The next set of pictures and text are now up on the same link. Interestingly, the Engineering Samples can sync with themselves, but not externally. Surprised?

Not quite. I think DualCor.... killed the DualCor.

First they mentioned they where shipping in March for $1,500, then many many months later, no bluetooth, no wifi, no phone, not a converged device, still not released, $2,000, and STILL nothing. It'll be interesting to see if the device is ACTUALLY released before the end of the year.

Judie has recieved an updated cPC engineering prototype (see link ) for the unboxing.

I'd take the Vega over the DualCor.

Interesting things from what she wrote:
* WiFi definitely not built in (I still think this is the way DualCor gets around all the collision problems that would come from WiFi being accessible from both WM5 and XP. This way, it's not their problem. It's AmbiCom's.)
(Bluetooth may not be built in either)
* Still no built-in keyboard. You can, of course, lug around a USB-connected keyboard
* USB ports are configurable for either the WM5 side or the XP side. That's one way to get around potential collisions while switching sides. People are assuming that means you can use USB drives and other things with the WM5 side. Unless DualCor provides special WM5 drivers for each type of USB device that you want to use, it won't happen.

It's kind of weird reading the comments. People were panning the OQO without seeming to realize how sub-standard the DualCor looks in comparison. I agree with unknownman: DualCor killed the DualCor.
