Could you please show a picture of how you open up the U101 to remove the hard drive? Thanks.

I would like to know too. I attempted an HD upgrade and failed, I couldn't get the case fully opened without breaking it.

Don't have any pics but here are some tips;
1. Remove the purple rubber stoppers on the bottom along the front edge of the case, 2 long silver screws under there
2. Also remove 2 white circular stickers on the back edge on either side w/ 2 small silver screws there
3. There is a screw under the "Warranty Void" sticker
4. There is one small black screw in the upper right corner under the Network Connector that holds the power plug and screen hinge in place
Other than that it should come apart pretty easy.

I guess you got lucky, or I was unlucky. I got all the screws off and down to a skeleton, but it was snapped/glued together in a way that would have broken the thing if I separated it. And I never got it back togther 100%, so I am loathe to try again. Really a shame, I so wanted to pop a 60 giger in there.

Thanks for that link. That makes a lot of sense to me--you don't pull it apart after all, you just open it wide enough to exchange the drives.
Now I have to figure out if I am going to give it another try.........
