My 02 seems to freeze up randomly, and I can't get it out, I have to shut down. This happens even when it is sitting still, I have tested it by just leaving it on the desk and letting it run. It seemed to do this only occasionally initially, but now it's fairly frequent and I don't feel like I can really trust it.

Anyone else having this issue?

mine use to freeze alot (CPU at 100%) with zonelarm installed. always did this when it scanned or updated. removed zonelarm and cpu doesnt get that high

at any rate i do think it depends on the software you got installed

I've had the same problem, I think it freezes up in response to overheating. Try running it connected to mains power with the battery taken off the back. The battery seems to trap a lot of heat when it's on. Also ensure that the device is sitting upright, the fan blows hot air out the top of the unit and sucks it in the bottom and side, so you want to help it do this by letting the hot air rise out the top. Flipping it open when you have it docked also exposes a gap behind the screen, which gives extra ventilation and allows heat to radiate through the keyboard more easily (although I think the keyboard is pretty well insulated). To do this easily you really need the docking station as it doesn't rest on it's bottom very well, and you occlude one of the intake-vents anyway, however I'm sure you could rig something up. I also had a desk fan angled into the unit to try and give it a hand with cooling, however this turned out to be unneccessary with everything else.

The problem was more or less non-existent in winter and got worse as summer came on, perhaps in an air-conditioned office you wouldn't experience it at all?
