Ok, so I sat down and outfitted my FlipStart portfolio today. It's more like a briefcase, albeit roughly 8.5x11. It's the 4-inch thickness that makes it seem bulky.

I'm glad they put a handle on the spine of the thing, in addition to giving it an optional shoulder strap. The pocket for the Flipstart is fairly snug; I'm hoping it will loosen up in time. I have my FlipStart on the left side and an AC adapter and my extra extended battery on the right side under the notepad. That leaves a large webbed pocket on the left for random stuff, a small little pocket for a Bluetooth mouse or similar on the right.

The back of the divider that holds the notepad has several business card pockets and one large pocket. The exterior has one large zippered pocket.

Looks to have good functionality, but time will tell. Rather than a "portfolio" per se, I would consider it as a laptop bag custom designed for the FS..

I haven't seen any pictures other than stock pictures online, so here are links to a bunch I just took (I REALLY wish you could post images on this board!). I threw a paperback book into a couple of pics so you get an idea of relative size.

I got mine yesterday, and I think I'm going to like it. When I get the second docking station set up at work and another mouse I won't have to carry as much junk around and it should do just fine. Just wish it had an 8.5 X 11 notepad in it though.

Has anyone gotten the Stowaway keyboard to work with the FS? The CD that came with it and all the destructions ... uh ... instructions only address PDAs. I couldn't even get it to pair with the FS.

Wodin: I have got the Stowaway keyboard to work with my Flipstart. Open up the keyboard making sure to slide the left and right grips together, press on the tiny white button on the top righ tuntil a green light starts flashing to put it into discoverable mode. On the Flipstart go to Start, Programs, Bluetooth settings, leave it on express mode and then click next. When it detects the keyboard it will ask you to type a password on the actual keyboard. Follow the instructions from this. By the way, the Flipstart recognises the keyboard without any need to install anything from the CD.

I had no problems either with the Stowaway keyboard. I followed the same steps that Nobody99 outlined above and it works like a charm.

Just figured it out tonight: The elastic loop to the right of where I have the spare extended battery is the perfect size to pack in the port replicator...
