My rock solid FS has been acting wacky lately and I think it's from some Vista Windows Updates...
Anyone else having the CPU peg and wireless not responding?
I really don't want to have to re-install winders...

Now looks like it was one of the updates that came along after the SP1 update. I may just put XP on it....

With regards to the infopain lockups, usually just a quick push of the power button to put it in standby and another quick push to get it out resolves the problem.
On the rebuild I am going to hold off installing Outlook and see if that helps.
The infopane is definitely more trouble than it is worth.

I have vista also, but mine is after market (I have xp upgrade to vista).
Mine work fine after the sp1 update and the other update.
Have you try to update your chipset and wireless driver ?

I just bought an FLipstart on ebay. Just one question? Is it normal to have one beep at startup?

Reinstall the Intel Graphics Driver found on the FS Download site, SP2 does not update the chipset drivers...
