Check it out.... ;-)

I should be receiving my Everun Note tomorrow and it has only cost me £50 more than I paid for my £500 Flipstart which is not bad at all. I really like the way you have easy and specific access to the Hard Disk and 3G card unlike the Flipstart which had you voiding warranties just to get a bit more storage space.

Unfortunately the Everun RAM does not appear to be upgradeable which is a shame but it still has more RAM than my Flipstart. I think this is the perfect Flipstart replacement I have been waiting for and when they release the extended battery, it should last as long too. If anyone has any questions after I receive it, feel free to ask.

I would love to see Passmark benchmark numbers on this. If I can get a hold of one these I will run the tests and post the stats.

My Plipstart is slowly dying, so I may get one in the future.
Recent Blog: FS fan question

As expected, I received my Everun Note from supergps today. The build quality is excellent, the screen is a lot bigger than my Flipstart, the keyboard is actually a real one (80%) and when I am using this device, it feels more like a Desktop Computer than a UMPC, especially when plugged in.

There is also a really useful USB Hard Disk Mode where you can access your Everun Hard Disk from any computer via USB when it has been switched off (this mode can be disabled). I used this mode to do quick Disk Images of my Everun using Acronis True Image in 5 mins.

The SD slot can handle SDHC and the two standard sized 2.0 USB ports are great. The optical mouse on this device is surprisingly good and of course, it also has a touch screen.

I think that this is a perfect replacement for my Flipstart and it is so much more. Considering the UMPC is a dual core 1.2 GHz AMD, it does not get too hot when pushed hard and I also like the fact that it has an ATI RS690E graphics card (apparently with 128MB RAM). Along with the 1GB of standard RAM under XP, this could be great for gaming as I will be testing later.

I was thinking about picking one up from Dynamism.

I take it the recall issue was resolved on yours before you got it?

Yea, the recall issue was resolved before my order had been dispatched.

Dynamism always seem to be more expensive than everywhere else although I have had great service from them in the past. It is also worth checking out link I highly recommend this device to anyone who is fed up with the weak power of the majority of UMPC's out at the moment. This UMPC gives you the option of more horse power when you need it.

Where did you buy yours? Conics is priced higher than Dynamism right now.

I purchased mine in the UK from supergps link for £549.99
