This is the final issue on my FlipStart, and I really want to sort it out. Because it never had a modem, and is an E1001 not E1001S, it does not display the "WiFi" and "WAN" options in the control centre - only WiFi. I can make the modem I fitted work using regedit and changing the appropriate key, but switching back to WiFi resets that change.
Please can anyone give me a solution - either changing the serial number so it reflects the "S" status, patching the software, anything - so that I can use the WAN option properly.
