its not really a handtop, it does look alright but personally i'm waiting for nokia's N91 if i buy a phone. If they wanted to make an internet device it should at least have some decent storage space or at absolute minimum a CF slot or something that would let me have some storage.
It does look quite cool though. I wouldn't ever buy something like this but i want this one for some reason.

illucid, why don't you think it's a handtop? Just curious.
It looks pretty close to everything that I want in a handtop. I'd just like to see something with more powerful graphics hardware.

It's a handtop size, but lacks the PC functionality...so I guess it could be a handtop, but definitely isn't in the same league as the oqo other than size and screen resolution. It's kinda in a category of its own sorta. It's not a phone. It's not a computer, not a pda, not a pocket pc, but a linux box that has some cool features to surf the internet with wifi and do other stuff.

I have been lusting after this one for a while and bought one last night when they became available on the US site. It told me it would ship 11/17, but going to the site again it has reverted back to the prior"coming soon" page, so I hope I am still slated to get my order filled.
I think it's a great little toy for doing some surfing around the house or anywhere you have access to wifi.

It really depends on what a handtop is. I believe a a handtop is a device that can be operated in a practical manner while being held with one hand, use the same software as a notebook/desktop, be operated as a desktop (support keyboard/monitor/mouse), use the same peripherals and drivers as a notebook/desktop. If you grant that Linux for ARM processors is the same as Linux for 386 computers then the only this missing from this device is monitor support and some sort of standard i/o to sipport peripherals such as USB host.
