This is a really interesting, and timely addition to the "Handtops as a Consumer Electronic Device" idea. link Here we have a bunch of wearable and compact devices that are a bit outside the box. link

It is nice to see a company like Intel doing some free thinking, and bodes well for the future of UMPC's in general.

Cool man, real cool!

chippy over at umpcportal.com has some links to pdf files of Intel's upcoming announcements. A lot of info. One interesting note is that it seems they are going with a Linux solution. Tailoring devices from the ground up to what they see as people's needs in various segments of the market. Interesting stuff, but I think I'm still going to go with OQO.
Intel's video is very slick, and it seems they are putting a lot of marketing resources behind their development efforts. I think they know they are playing a catch up game in this market, and are trying to hook people into waiting for them to deliver.

Thanks for the info ShivaFoot.

Yes, in many ways, Intel has just woken up to this portion of the market, and realized it could be the future. Linux makes a certain amount of sense on small lightweight computers, although I am sure we will also see Windows and Apple OS variants in future as well.
