Handtops, UMPC - FS with XP or VISTA -

Is any difference in speed and usability depending which OS is your FS running on. Mine has Vista and I am reading everywhere that FS RAM is barely enough for running it effectively.
Any opinions?

I bought mine with XP, which runs fairly fast, but I don't know about how Vista runs on the FlipStart.

I am running on XP, I know this has better (old) PC game compatibility and is less taxing on the resources. Vista needs more RAM so to me, it makes no sense running it on any system that only has 512MB. Even 1GB is pushing its luck.
