It seems to be almost identical to the currently shipping CX700
+ designed for C7-M processors where M stands for "mobile" (CX700 is for C7 and some Pentiums)
+ HDTV output
+ MPEG4 and WMV9 decoding (in addition to CX700's MPEG2)
That seems to be it as far as differences.
If your devices uses the C7-M, then you will automactially get the VX700 chipset.
I'm pretty sure both can do video input digitization except althogh VIA's webpages mention it specifically only for the VX700. The block diagram for both suggests that is the case.
