OK, Here’s a suggestion for all of you who are holding your breath for the 02.
Start setting aside a hundred dollars each and every month and when the 02 finally goes on sale you’ll have enough cash to actually pay for it.
In the mean time, those of us who bought the UX (now) will continue to breathe freely. lol

Very conflicting ideas from Jory, very sad.
RIM has built a huge infrastructure to support their BlackBerry device.
RIM has partnered with many companies to deliver value-added software for their BlackBerry device.
OQO has not.
Can OQO out of the box deliver corporate email to the OQO? No, one must use cobbled together technologies geared toward the savvy IT department in order to get simple push or pull email and SECURITY remains a major concern for those not using SSL/IPSec/MS ISA VPN technology.
Can RIM out of the box deliver corporate email to the BlackBerry? Yes, with every cellular provider and for the enterprise using BlackBerry Exchange Server. Security is built-in to this process, RIM has a whitepaper for those interested.
Can Palm out of the box deliver corporate email to the Treo? Yes, with Goodlink.
If you look at many other enterprise solutions, both Palm and RIM are much more experienced and knowledgeable forging partnerships to offer enterprises a complete enterprise solution to their problems.
And oh, the Treo and BB cost 1/3 what the OQO costs.
Most IT departments do not recognize OQO as a notebook company or a handheld, BB/Treo, replacement company.
I really think OQO needs to rethink their strategy.

If memory serves me right, Jory said in tnkgrl's last interview that their competitor IS SONY, DELL etc - when he was questioned how OQO think of the new UMPC bunch - when SONY, DELL got NO handtops to offer. Now SONY does - so all in a sudden RIM(Blackberry) & Palm(Treo) are the competitors and Sony is not, WTH?! What happened to "the only pc u need"? Not to mention the reason they created OQO at all, which is people want no compromise and need to run full windows all the time.
He must be at lost and was kidding himself, or intentionly talking BS - either way it doesn't seem good coz all it did is to give people the impression that he is sorta kinda outta his mind.
ohh, on a side note, if I don't see a proper OQO2 at the end of the year or beginning of 2007, I got no choice but go for UX.

I am afraid if OQO and RIM were pitted against each other, OQO would not be the killer. fil has pretty much hit the nail on the head with his breakdown of why, with one minor omission - with moderate use the BlackBerry can last 3-4 days, as opposed to the OQOs 3-4 hours. The OQO would have to last a full business day without a charge before it could take on the BlackBerry on its own turf. It sort of echos the humorous Apple Newton vs. Samsung Q1 showdown that was posted on CNET not long ago - I believe the Newton won on battery life alone.
If anything Jory should have proclaimed OQO the Palm killer, with flagging sales and no new OS on the horizon Palm could prove an easy target. No offence intended to any Palm addicts reading this - it just had to be said. ;)
Ultimately, everyone here is interested in the OQO as a full blown computer and not a mobile phone or email appliance as Jory is trying to spin it. The only reason that I can see OQO taking this angle with their PR is so that they can compete on the basis of functionality. This makes it less necessary to push new product out the door to compete with Sony and the encroaching UMPC crowd - who seem to be making them look bad in the performance department.
