Three months to go for those of you still waiting.
I got fed up myself, and got a MacBook Pro & XDA Mini S instead.

Who on earth talks like this about a company that they know virtually nothing about concerning a product they've never even touched? 'Yeah baby?' Come on! Now you're just being ridiculous.

you can't be a sellout if your cheering for what you orginally got. A sellout is someone who once cheered or was for one thing but is now for another.

Wow...laughing inside, for the most part. I remember there was quite the cheerleader, on this board, for cPC/DualCor...a few months back. They quickly switched tunes later when it wasn't released, when hoping...this must really hurt too. lol

Sad to see this is becoming a general practice for almost all companies now - initial announcements and ads are just bunch lies on speculating features and set to an impossible launch date which never intented to be met in the first place.
Then they break out the uglies to you, slowly.

Companies are now (well, have been for years) marketing products, that may or may not come to fruition, in order for customers not to buy competitors products...and wait hopefully for something else (ideally, the company's product) to come out. Marketers are spending money, so consumers won't spend money. lol
Just think of how many people on here expressed interest in the cPC, and were waiting for it before they made a decision to purchase it or an OQO, etc? Several.

OMG! That's Insane!!!!!!! So let me get this straight... now you've got a big clunky brick shaped device that can't fit into your pocket and can't connect to anything without wires, dongle's or CF cards sticking out all over the place? And that's supposed to be competition for the O? That's the rough equivalent of marketing a circa 1980 boombox with a pouch to carry tapes as competition for an iPod! Hee Haw!
No phone, no WiFi, no Bluetooth. $1500? No way in hell!
Well, maybe if they threw in a Mr. Microphone and an AMC Gremlin. (Chortle). Tnkgrl already said all there is to say about this... "moving on."

While I agree for the most part, the other side to the story is the way the Internet works to make every rumor and every speculation available on a wide scale nearly instantaneously. Back when the planet was young and dinosaurs roamed the earth the first source of specifications was the pamphlets that were released along with the product itself. We never saw the original design or watched as specs changed when reality landed like a cPC brick on the heads of the engineers trying to make it all work Now, specifications are released (or leaked) when the product is still in development. We get the specs before reality rears its ugly head. I mentioned this in another thread, but I really think the reason why the radios were left off was because the two sides of the cPC would fight over which one controls the radio. The operating systems and drivers weren't written with the idea that another OS, resident on the same machine, would be engaged in a tug-of-war over connections.
" 'nuff said. Moving on."

FYI:
For those that keep track of all the changes on the Dualcor website you're wasting your time. The unit wont be available until August- September time. When it does become available you will have to purchase it through major vendors that CPC already has lined up. You will not be able to purchase through the Dualcor website or even my call the Dualcor sales team. Few months after the initial release Dualcor may consider selling direct to the consumer. I was told this first hand from VP in sales.
With that being said I don't think that Dualcor has enough steam to compete with the release of Model 02 come Q4. This company advertised this product know that it wasnt ready for mainstream distribution, and in my opinion that was poor judgement. Why tease the consumers with all this talk and you have nothing to back it up. The CPC March-April release was a lie, and if I remember right a memebr on this forum said that he spoke direct to the CEO and guaranteed that date. Well, this company has been lying to us all just to create a buzz.

Wrong,
link
*WiFi and Bluetooth | (UMPC) 802.11b/g, Bluetooth | (cPC) 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, 3G *
I dont know where that source came from but definetly not by something that Dualcor said,
Dualcor aren't stupid, they won't ruin there device that they claim is the best olny because WiFi.

lironharel1, not to pick on you but I see your link and raise it with these:
link
link
Note that none of the specs or connectivity show any internal radios- Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G- nothing. Finally the most damning evidence:
link
Reading through this the "Doctor" does the following things with his DualCor during a business day-
"Its 7:00 am and Dr Gold jumps in the car grabs his cPC and plugs in his 3G data card into the Compact Flash slot so he can receive e-mails while he is driving"
And then-
"As Dr. Gold arrives at the local medical center he immediately pops in his CF Wifi card into the cPC and is instantly connected to his internal network."
There are no internal radios. It appears that everything is going to be a CF card or USB dongle. Sorry...
