I don’t recall seeing any pics of a UX-50 next to a OQO yet.

I got together with another member of Handtops (Rarelaptops) and shot these comparison pics.

It’s sad we can’t post full views of pics on this forum… I hate that slider bar stuff… don’t you?

Wow, thanks so much!! They are a LOT closer in size than I thought. I will probably get the Sony but I want to check it out in person at a SonyStyle store first, when they come out.

Thank you for this comparison. :-) Great work a pictures!! :-) . This is what a lot of us have been waiting for..:-)

I too am shocked how small the difference in size is.. UX really looked bigger.
Maybe it can still fit pocket on my shirt after all as OQO does..:-)

Yes the closeness in size is shocking. It should be noted the oqo is using the double cap battery, which adds to its width considerablly. All in the sony looks very nice next to the oqo.

Dang sexy.

Edit: Something I'd like to point out I like on the sony. I love that it has a hdd led for activity. That is one thing i dont like on the oqo. I like to know when the computer is thumping on something, and the hdd led is generally a good indicator of that.

Ahhh, the double battery, that explains it. But I suppose it's more of an equivalent to the standard Sony battery.

I notice that on the Handtops.com page on the oqo, you have to scroll right and left. On the Sony you don't. What is your opinion on the displays comparitivly? Screen size? Resolution? Ease in reading? Brightness?

From other reports the UX wasn't pocketable, is it in your opinion?

Also, does the UX180P have a Compact Flash port (slot), as well as the GPRS card? Every listing out there claims that there is a Compact Flash port, but I thought that the GPRS card replaced this?
