ccording to Judie over at The Gadgeteer she has received information directly from DualCor that the cPC will ship with WiFi and Bluetooth! Not only will the unit ship with both radios Judie will be receiving an engineering sample on Wednesday.

She writes:

Most importantly, I was told that future shipping versions will include built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. Even better, I was told that I would be able to upgrade my device to the shipping model once they are ready. YAY!"

So I guess the cPC wont be as crippled as many posted..

a "future shipping model" doesn't sound too promising still.

I'd prefer it to read something like initial shipping model. Sounds much more like they're trying to be honest and not hide behind words.
I genuinely don't believe they'll have it with wifi and bluetooth in the first publicly available model, but if they do i'm more than happy to buy one

the competition is good for the consumer.

Still a less than desirable device in my book. The radios will make it less of a joke, but no more viable in the present marketplace.

It is the final shipping model if you read her post. It clearly states she is to swap out the engineering unit for a final production unit with Wifi and Bluetooth.

her post it says almost exactly what i quoted. "future shipping versions" (sorry i actually typed model as opposed to version in my previous post).... And as far as i'm concerned you could very well say, for example that the OQO 02 is a future shipping version for them.

I'm interested in seeming what their first publicly available one has, because it seems to me that the wording there suggests that perhaps a later model will have it all on the inside but the first one available won't.

I love your website though :P

illucid I think I talk from experience since I worked for them... Future production units clearly state that when they start shipping they will have wifi and bluetooth...
