If I were to do that, it would only be in a vehicle that I own. Since I drive the vehicle that I own, I wouldn't be able to see it from the driver's seat. Find a mount that you can put in the front of a car and power it with the cig lighter and I'd consider that.

Go hereand search for Sony. They have a nice holder that you can put on an arm with a suction cup that attaches to your front window. It holds the UX in position right under your read-view mirror -- very nice for GPS use.

I've got the parts to put my U in the dash console, to replace the radio, but haven't had the time to do so yet. My plans are to do it identical to the video, with a spring loaded ejection so that it can be removed for portable use as well.

Do you have a parts list? I currently have a media player plugged into an aux jack in my CD player to play music using the car speakers. This combined with a way to keep it powered sounds promising.
