There will be a lot of changed opinions about the iPhone in July that is for sure....although I will probably buy one, my only expectation is it works well as a phone & text messenger & voicemail as well as a good ipod such as photos and video and music, yet I don't expect it to do much else and will be happy if it does anything else well. The keyboard and internet features seem to be not so great, but no phone works well with the internet in my opinion, so overall I think the iphone is worth it. Although the wifi might make it work okay so I'm hoping that Safari browser is more like the real safari browser as every other phone browser is horrible. So maybe setting up a DIR-450 or DIR-451 mobile router in my vehicles might be what I need to do for both the oqo and iphone. I watched the video about the iphone...it claims it has traffic, but I don't think it really has traffic rerouting and it definitely doesn't have gps, so I expect this to be about as helpful as going to live.local.com or is it local.live.com. To me navigation isn't navigation if it doesn't use GPS and either xm or fm traffic.

Speaking about the iPhone...couple of questions...

Have they established a price...last I saw it was going to be $599 for the 8gb model, but do you have to sign a new contract for that price. Does anyone know if there is a retail price, i.e. buying it without a contract? And lastly, could you use this as a prepaid AT&T phone?

Although I dropped by the Apple store here in SF earlier tonight to hang out with the Gizmodo crew!

As for getting my own iPhone, I have an (action) plan...

Looks like Apples website shows the iphone ships in 2 to 4 weeks...how typical of apple...oqo needs to merge with apple and get it over with. I guess if I want this bad enough then I need to go to a store...which I will probably do. Can't seem to buy it online at att....although i hear there aren't long lines so I will go get one hoping the 8gb isnt sold out.
