This iphone is my first sim card type of phone. I wonder if I can take this AT&T sim card and put it in a Nokia N95 phone (plan to buy one) and get HSDPA speed? Thanks for your answer."

@education12: according to this story, you (and a lot of others) were suckered last week by the myth of evaporating demand for iPhone:

Too bad it's so hard to penalize people who plant rumors and manipulate the stock market. This is one of those cases where the SEC can easily see who benefited, but may not be so easily able to tell who planted the rumors or show that they had no real evidence.

*nguyenallan*, you can use your iPhone's SIM in the N95, but the N95 does not support the US frequencies for HSDPA (only the euro frequencies), so the N95 only operates on EDGE in the US.

Has anyone tried this? This means I could get a used iPhone and use if on a prepaid card?

Guess it works, just a bit annoying..

Well it's cool, but it needs ALOT of work. It's not even emulating sound. Not only that I don't think the touch interface is going to be responsive enough for most NES games. Maybe you could play tetris like that.

For this emulator or any to be good it needs to be reworked to take advantage of the iphone interface. Kind of like how PDA's allow you to use the stylus to move and change directions, etc.

My thoughts.

So now Apple (iPhone) is to learn from the Danger (Sidekick) team?

link

Apparently, the hardware on the iPhone isn't up to Apple's usually high standards. Some of the displays are losing touch response in a strip at the top pr bottom of the display. link

Probably the worst aspect of this is that Apple should have known this was coming. According to the article, the company that Apple bought the touch display tech from has seen it before.

Finnish firm? The screen along with its patents is from Asia I forget if it was TW or CN?

Asia: Do you have any links to that. Even so, Apple could have bought the display tech from a Finnish firm that originally bought it from someone else.

Wherever it came from, there are a number of reports of "strip failure." The question is (considering how inbred the tech web site community is) "Did they all originate with one complaint?" How widespread is this?

The only European connection is Germany it seems, nowhere have I run accross any mentioning of Finland, as I would've remembered that
