So I am at the checkout about to pay when...
So while Newegg states:

At CHECKOUT you have to specifically agree to:

Any Desktop PC/Notebook/Tablet PC that is deemed defective may be returned for a replacement but a request for refund will not be granted. If a notebook is returned for a replacement, but no problems are found, the notebook will be returned at the customer's expense. You should be secure in your decision to purchase this Desktop PC/Notebook/Tablet PC and will have to agree to this policy before completing your order."
So which is it?? 30 day refund, or NO refund!?!

I would call newegg and see what they say, but I have a feeling that it's a no-return policy on the Asus, which is too bad. WOW! I didn't realize newegg had the Asus Eee PC 8G already. It doesn't say if it comes with the XP Pro Drivers. If it doesn't, how do I go about putting XP Pro onto my Asus? I am not a tech person in the slightest.
I might hold out for Dynamism. A sales person from there said that they might install XP for a person for the price of the XP license ($150). Plus, Dynamism has a policy that if a newer model comes in, you can trade in your old one. I'm not sure if they take much off the new machine or not, but it sounds good.

I'm not too happy...the Asus Eee PC 8G is now not available through Dynamism until early January. What gives? How did Newegg get it so fast? I'd rather order from Dynamism because of their free tech support and return policy. I see someone had problems with Newegg's return policy too. Has anyone had issues with Newegg before?

Okay...I called Asus. They said that they have a 2-year warranty on the Eee PC 8G. If the item goes defective in 2 years, they will either fix it or replace it. In my opinion, there is no need to purchase Newegg's 2-year replacement warranty. What do others think on this one? Am I missing something that Newegg's warranty covers?

Typically when a company (the retailer) sells such an extended warranty it means you would deal with them and they typically replace it right away vs. having to deal for a prolonged time with the actual company. I never buy those extended warranties, because after 2 years the gadget will be outdated anyhow. In my opinion such instant replacement deals only makes sence if you buy it in person, but since in this case you'd be shipping/shipped it anyhow what's the difference!?

Make sure the warranty is transfereable to a new owner if you sell it.
Make sure you (or the new owner) can cancel the warranty at any time and receive a full refund for the unused portion of the warranty.
Verify what they mean by instant replacement. Any fee's ?

Just received my eeePC (4GB). When I install the Windows XP does that replace the Linux system or only applications that need XP will use it?
Be gentle I am not so computer savvy. I need XP for QuickBooks and Hebrew stuff.
