I sold my U50 a few weeks ago for $400.
I don't miss it, it sat boxed for the past couple of years and I only took it out to check it out before I sold it. The last usage was as a GPS in my Porsche, but that was all she wrote.
I'm now debating on getting an iPhone, but waiting until the prices come down and more disk space is added, 16 GB still does not seem enough for me. I can use 15 GB just for MP3s and another 10 GB for a few Youtube videos.
