I originally purchased my Flipstart with Windows XP and have since decided to upgrade it to Vista Business. The upgrade itself went well and the FS boots up and runs really snappy with Vista, but I have run into a real problem. When installing all the drivers for Vista everything works until I get to the SP2 one from flipstart. When I try to install it it gets to where the prompt window comes up and does the firmware and then it totally goes to a bluescreen. Once the FS reboots itself it goes through the startup until it gets to what I 'am assuming is the Vnec driver and then bluescreens again. The only way to get it out of this loop of death is to restore it back to before I installed SP2. Anyone have any ideas or maybe have seen the same thing? I really hope to get this figured out I would like to stay with Vista. Thanks for the help!

Kelly, The firmware screen you see is the update for InfoPane on the DINO board. The com port created in the OS must not be there or is having issues. Best to uninstall SP2 FS System software, reinstall SP1 drivers then try SP2 again.
Good Luck...

Thanks for the reply. I actually tried re-installing but it was a no go. After getting in touch with Flipstart they suggested a clean install and they were right on target. Seems when you try to do do an upgrade the settings get out of whack. Once the clean install was done everything worked great. Vista is way more snappy then I thought it would be on the FS and everything is up and running perfectly. I should also say here that Flipstart tech support rocks! They get right back to you and make sure your issues are resolved.
