does anyone know if a converter will fit the flipstart hard drive bay? They are 6mm in thickness. Compact flash can be had in 32GB in size for under 2 hundred -- a lot cheaper than a 32 GB ssd which runs twice that.

johnnyboy. It does fit the fipstart hard drive bay. I tried that in my FS. However you will not be able to wake up from standby with compact flash or SSD. The compact flash will be slower too. You can now get a 32 sandisk zif SSD from ebay for $325.

Thanks for the information. I have been experiencing the blank screen again on coming out of standby and have solved it this time by pressing the crtl-alt-del key. Gets it every time.
